Amber is a little bit of hip-hop, a Little bit of rock n roll, with the passion of Malcolm X and the poise of Michelle O.; specializing in diversity, working towards inclusion, and ever fighting for equity.

Amber Booth-McCoy is a proud native of Little Rock, Arkansas. She received dual bachelors in psychology and sociology from U of A Little Rock. Currently, Mrs. Booth- McCoy serves as a Senior Diversity Specialist and Manager of Intercultural Education, for University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), in the Division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DDEI). In this role she uses her experience and expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) to spearheads the Office of Intercultural Education. In 2017, she created the UAMS Junior STEM Academy (JSA) and shortly after, Senior STEM Academy. These innovative, culturally-responsive, K-8th grade summer programs are intentionally designed to target underrepresented minority students. In 2020, she created and launched the DDEI Academy for Inclusive Excellence. AIE). AIE is a cadre of learning experiences on topics relevant to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Mrs. Booth-McCoy is a member of several DEI related boards, commissions, and , community service organizations such as, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Beautiful Feet, Beautiful Minds, Just Communities of Arkansas, NAACP, and more. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair to the City of Little Rock Racial and Cultural Diversity Commission (RCDC). Of all her many roles and responsibilities, Mrs. Booth-McCoy maintains, Mama. is by far the most rewarding and with an indescribable pay. She works zealously with the desire to see a world where everyone’s’ sons and daughters are treated equitably, and their “pursuit of happiness” will never be impeded by hate or discrimination.
