DDEI extends our gratitude to Kimberlyn Blann, who has served with distinction in the role of director of DDEI community engagement and outreach programs for the past 6 years.
Blann has been a vital part of our success in increasing diversity, inclusion and awareness of options in health care careers for underrepresented minority students across Arkansas. She has recently successfully executed an expansion of our pipeline programs for freshmen and sophomore students (PHSP) in three locations across the state along with juggling so many other responsibilities. Her interpersonal and communication skills have enhanced and developed relationships across colleges, high schools and other partners across the state.
She has a serving heart, endless capacity for compassion and love for our students. We could not have accomplished many of our goals without her. She will be sorely missed, but we wish her all the best in her new role as associate director of admission and outreach programs in the college of medicine’s admissions office.
